Tree Pruning

There are many reasons
to prune a tree - from improving the structure and safety to protecting health and longevity.

Let us recommend ways to keep your tree in tip top form.

PRUNING IS THE HEART OF WHAT WE DO

Whether we’re working from the ground with our pruning tools in your prized ornamental Trees or swinging from our climb lines 150’ up your Douglas Fir Tree, we prescribe and execute pruning with expertise. Species, age, site, history, and, of course, your concerns are all considered when we write the pruning specs for your Trees.

Pruning tends to fall into two categories: reactive and proactive. When you call us to come service your Trees, it tends to be reactive: Maybe you’ve noticed the Trees are encroaching on your house, driveway, or utility lines. Maybe you’ve recently noticed a broken branch that you never saw before. The city may also give you a notice that the canopy of your Tree is impeding the road and/or walkway along the street.

When we meet to discuss your Tree trimming needs, we’re likely to recommend some additional proactive work. These are the things expert arborists are trained to see. Proactive pruning is structural in nature. In Trees which aren’t fully mature, we can make a big impact on helping your tree establish a strong growth habit which avoids potentially hazardous defects in the future. In mature Trees, structural work tends to be of the nature which helps the Tree to avoid having limb failures which can lead to property damage and bigger problems for the Tree in the future.

We’ve got the skills to go out on a limb for you.
